Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

THEBINBUSTERS LIMITED (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as The BinBusters, is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect when you use our website or book a bin cleaning service, why we collect it, and how it is used. This site is operated from Newcastle upon Tyne and is governed by UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you contact us or request a quote through the website, we collect the information you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, postcode, phone number (optional), number of bins, and the details of your enquiry. When you become a customer, we also store your collection address so we know where to turn up, and any photos of your bin we take during a clean.

We do not collect payment card information through this website.

How we use your data

  • To reply to your enquiry and send you a quote.
  • To schedule, carry out, and record your bin cleaning visits.
  • To send you photos of your bin when we take them during a clean.
  • To occasionally message you about changes to your schedule (e.g. weather cancellations, bin-day rescheduling).

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis

We rely on legitimate interests (responding to your enquiry) and contract (delivering the bin cleaning service you've booked) as our lawful bases for processing under UK GDPR.

Data retention

Enquiry records are retained for up to 2 years to help us reply to follow-up questions and maintain a record of quotes we've given. Customer records (address, visit history, photos) are retained for as long as you remain a customer and for up to 6 years after your last visit for accounting and legal purposes. You can request earlier deletion at any time — see “Your rights” below.

Cookies & analytics

This website uses essential cookies required for basic functionality. If and when we add analytics, we'll use privacy-friendly tools and update this policy. No personally identifiable information is collected through cookies today. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

Third-party services

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Images and page assets are served from Cloudflare R2. Cloudflare may log minimal technical data (e.g. IP address, user agent) for security and performance reasons. Form submissions go to our own email inbox — no third-party form provider is used.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct inaccuracies, to request deletion, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, or to raise a concern, contact us at contact@thebinbusters.co.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
